In which city do you live?
South Toms River, NJ
How long have you been in the business?
I have been on and off since 2002.
What inspired you want to get into the business?
My brother and I were huge wrestling fans back in the late 80s and early 90s. We both fell out of it for awhile until 2001 with the Royal Rumble. Since then, we watched a lot more of WWE and always enjoyed it. So before my 16th birthday, a local Indy promotion held a seminar with Jerry Lynn. I went and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made
Where did you learn to wrestle?
In September 2002, I went to a wrestling seminar with Jerry Lynn. He showed me the basics along with AJ Styles before going to WWE. After that, I learned from other Indy guys at the time such as Eric Justice, Chi Chi Cruz and Tiger Khan. Since I did ring crew for Phoenix Championship Wrestling while it was around, I had a place to train and learn from people as well as pay dues to this business.
What are your signature moves and/or your finishers?
I just started using a combo where a person will go for a back drop, I jump and knee them in the back, get the person into an arm lock, kick their leg out and have them hit my knee face first. Also, a 9 punch in the corner ending with a superman punch. My finisher is called Sojutsu. All it is is an X-Factor.
What promotions have you wrestled for?
Ring Crew for PCW, NMWA, NWS, SWF, and ECPW
What injuries have you sustained?
My back in permanently messed up not just from wrestling but from serving in the military. However, I don’t quit easily so I keep going.
Are you a face or a heel?
What style(s) do you do?
Martial Artist and High Flyer
What’s your entrance music? Why did you choose it?
I had a bunch but it’s now A Warrior’s Call by Volbeat. It’s upbeat and gets my adrenaline going. Plus, it can get the crowd into by yelling “Fight!” when it’s played.
What do your friends and family think of you wrestling?
It’s funny actually. My best friend Ace Marksman and I wrestle together on the Indys. He is truly my brother and the reason I got back into wrestling in 2015. Most friends support me wrestling but there are a few who don’t and I understand why. It’s a passion I have that I’m not ready to give up. My family supports it as well. My parents both have seen me perform and do worry but overall are for it. My older brother, who I mentioned before with watching WWE as kids, always asks me “When am I wrestling again? When can I see you wrestle?” Since he lives in Japan, I have a friend record my match so he can watch it. The only person in my family who doesn’t support it is my sister. It’s fine that she doesn’t but she knows I love doing this.
What advice would you give others just starting out in the business?
Starting out, I was never really given proper advice on how to act or how to be professional. Wrestlers I have met such as Tony Emerald and Kleetus Bailey have taught me to always be humble and never to be cocky or arrogant. So my advice would be the same. Also, be sure to learn everything you possibly can. You could make it in the big leagues but you will never stop learning. Each wrestler has gone through things that you haven’t so pick their brains and learn as much as you possibly can to be better. My good friend Grim always teaches how to throw a punch better or how to get into your match with intensity. If you don’t care, why should the crowd?
Who would you like to wrestle in the business? Why?
There are a lot of people I would love to wrestle. First and foremost, Prince Puma a.k.a Ricochet. His abilities are amazing and every time I see him in a match, I’m in awe because of how he moves. Another would be Joey Ryan. Joey has that entertainment that I always enjoyed. I wouldn’t mind taking a YouPorn Plex as well. From WWE, I would say Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles. Jeff because he is hands down my favorite wrestler. He is my inspiration to get into wrestling because of all the crazy stuff he did. As for AJ, I’m sure he doesn’t remember me but it would be awesome to show him how much I’ve learned since he helped show me some basic moves back in 02.
